Summer is the time for fun and adventure. HSMC offers a great outdoor environment for creative learning. Join us for our summer workshops; designed for kids with curious minds, who want to learn a new skill.
Designed for children ages 6-12
Have you ever wondered what materials artists used in the 17th century to make paint and ink? This workshop brings history and art together by introducing the historical methods and materials used by some of the early painters of long ago. Participants will have the opportunity to make pigments derived from a range of natural materials – including plants, minerals, and insects – to create an art piece and an artist’s palette to take home.
Space is limited, so registration is required.
Payment in full is due at time of registration: $25 per child ($15 Friends members)
Workshops take place rain or shine.
