Summer is the time for fun and adventure. HSMC offers a great outdoor environment for creative learning. Join us for our summer workshops; designed for kids with curious minds, who want to learn a new skill.
Designed for children ages 7-12
Step on board the Maryland Dove and experience the life of a sailor long ago. Learn about the journey, work, meals, and pastimes. What was the river like? What resources did it provide to those who settled here? Participants will explore the waterfront environment and learn about the St. Mary’s River and will have the opportunity to make their own fishing poles, learn basic fishing techniques, and try out their new skills in a catch and release activity.
Space is limited, so registration is required.
Payment in full is due at time of registration: $25 per child ($15 Friends members)
Workshops take place rain or shine.
To register, contact (240) 895-4979, (240) 895-4980 or groups@digshistory.org
