  • Spring 2018 Hours:  March 13 – June 30
    • Living History Exhibits: Tuesday – Saturday, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.
    • St. John’s Site Museum: Tuesday – Saturday, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.
    • Visitor Center: Tuesday – Saturday, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.
    • The Shop at Farthing’s Ordinary: Tuesday – Saturday, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.
    • Brome Quarter Exhibit: Open by appointment only.  Please give at least 24 hours notice for a request for appointment.

     

  • Museum closed July 1st, 2nd, and 3rd

 

  • Summer 2018 Hours: July 4 – September 2
    • Living History Exhibits: Wednesday – Sunday, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.
    • St. John’s Site Museum: Wednesday – Saturday, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.; Sunday, 1 p.m. – 4 p.m.
    • Visitor Center: Wednesday – Sunday, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.
    • The Shop at Farthing’s Ordinary: Wednesday – Sunday, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m
    • Brome Quarter Exhibit: Open by appointment only.  Please give at least 24 hours notice for a request for appointment.

  •    Holiday Break 2018 Hours:  December 23 – January 1
    • Living History Exhibits:  Closed for the winter; will reopen March 12, 2019
    • St. John’s Site Museum:  Closed for holiday break
    • Visitor Center:  Closed for holiday break beginning December 16, 2018; will reopen January 2, 2019
    • The Shop at Farthing’s Ordinary:  Closed for holiday break beginning December 23, 2018; will reopen on Saturdays only in January, February, and early March beginning January 5, 2019
    • Brome Quarter Exhibit:  Closed for holiday break

 

  • Administrative Offices are open Monday – Friday,  8 a.m. – 5 p.m. (except holidays)

 

The Maryland Dove, a replica of the original Dove, occasionally sails the Chesapeake region to bring its story to other parts of Maryland. Please check the Calendar for notice that she is away if touring the ship is an important part of your visit.

 

Leashed dogs are welcome. Please clean up after your pet!

Visitor Services

Snacks are available at the museum’s Shop at Farthing’s Ordinary and reasonably priced meals are available within walking distance in the Student Center at St. Mary’s College. Ask museum staff about hours of operation and venues.
