The Struggle for Freedom exhibit will be closed for renovations beginning November 4.

The entire museum is closed November 27 & 28, for the Thanksgiving holiday.

Volunteers

Be a part of history by volunteering with Historic St. Mary’s City (HSMC). It takes a lot to care for over 800 acres, run dozens of programs, and give tours for over 20,000 schoolchildren annually. With your help, it can be done! To contact the Volunteer Coordinator, email hsmcc.volunteer@maryland.gov

Recommended age for volunteers is 18 years of age and older.

Historic St. Mary’s City offers a summer apprentice program for students in middle and high school. To apply, contact Aaron Meisinger by emailing aaron.meisinger@maryland.gov.
