Join Ranger Crenshaw and learn about Tubman’s early years spent in Dorchester County Maryland and the Maryland State Park created in her honor. About the speaker: Angela Crenshaw began working at the Maryland Department of Natural Resources in 2008 starting with removing abandoned boats and debris for Boating Services. She became a Maryland Park Ranger in 2016 and promoted up the ranks through her time at Elk Neck and Gunpowder Falls State Parks. By 2017, she was the Assistant Manager of Harriet Tubman Underground Railroad State Park in beautiful and historic Church Creek Maryland. Ranger Crenshaw received her Master’s Degree in Energy and Environmental Policy from the University of Delaware. Working at Harriet Tubman Underground Railroad State Park allows Ranger Crenshaw to share both her knowledge of the environment and the legacy of Harriet Tubman, a powerful historic hero and a motivating force for all women. Ranger Crenshaw’s current focus is helping guests build a personal connection to Tubman through guided tours and ranger-led presentations.
